I need a Campy part....

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I need a Campy part....

I know this is reaching but Ive run out of options. Does anyone happen to work at a shop that has a Campy Part #WH-KX890 in stock? QBP doesnt have it, everyone who lists it online is out of it. Ive ordered it from 3 different places and everyone has canceled my order due to not having it.

Campy actually does have it. They wont sell it to me. My LBS wants $150.00 for this part. I aint paying that. Ill whittle one out of a block of aluminum before I pay that.

So.. I know its a long shot but anyone got one? BTW, its a Campy freehub that lets you run a Shimano cassette on Campy/Fulcrum wheels.

FW9853 - I think that's QBP through a bike shop.

JayC - have you tried various places to see if someone wants to swap you freehub bodies? If time isn't critical, I think this would be possible. Worst case if you need it now, buy a wheelset, swap, and sell.

Good luck,
cdr

Have you poked around to see if a different Campy body would work?

I've noticed they sometimes use different part numbers for stuff that's the same part, for example a Centaur 2003 doohicky and the Veloce 2004 may be the same thing but would have different p/n's.

Which Campy wheels do you want to use it on? And what model year?

American Classic has a Shimano/SRAM conversion cassette that works with your Campy freehub.
