Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Where do yoou keep your helmets and shoes?

Hi. I was about to leave for a mid morning ride, and a thought popped in my head - Where do we keep their helmets and shoes?

I keep mine in a closet in one of my guest bedrooms.

You have funny thoughts!

I keep my helmet in the garage with the bikes but my shoes in the house in the cool months but in the summer, they go in the beer fridge outside. I just like starting out with cool feet. Feel better, longer.

I too have funny thoughts!

On my head and feet respectively when riding. Seriously though, in/on my cycling travel gear bag in spare room/office.

In a plastic basket in the garage. If I drive to a ride, I bring the basket.

The helmet usually hangs over a brake hood, so it's always with the bike.

Shoes are in the garage airing out or in the laundry room.

Wally world and Kmart have a hanging thing for storing sweaters and such in you closet. Holds 6 helmets perfectly. Also there is a shoe thing that works in the same way, perfect for multiple sets of shoes.

I have mine hanging on my garage(ceiling mounted) bike storage rack. Pull down your bike of choice, helmet and shoes right there.

Large family + time trial helmet(s)?

Anyway, my shoes stay in the shoebox on my bookshelf.

Gloves go on my other bookshelf, along with the other 'ride stuff' (multi-tool, pump, etc.)

Helmet gets tossed somewhere, anywhere. Couch, coffee table, desk, wherever.

Bottles typically stay on the bike.

I dont wear a helmet while cycling so I dont own one. My shoes are kept in one of those fabric shoe holders from Ikea you hang in the closet (near the front door for me). My cycling caps are hung on hangers with the rest of my cycling cloths.

Helmet by the sink. I sweat a lot, so I rinse it off so it won't stink next time.

Cycling clothes that are clean are kept in my drawer. The used ones hang on a rack behind my door. My shoes go under this little cubby thing that I have next to my TV and computer. All of my winter gear is in a bag inside of one of the pockets in that cubby. Extraneous stuff is on top of my closet.
