Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I am thinking of getting aero plastic inserts under my skin.

I would like to get some aerodynamic plastic or carbon implants surgically inserted under my skin to make my self more aero. Possibly some on the shoulders, back of my arms, neck and legs.

Is this UCI or USA Cycling legal? Would this safe?

I was thinking of having some of my toes amputated to save weight. They seem like a waste. And then I could wear smaller shoes, also saving weight !

Just get a piece of carbon put under your skin on the sole of your feet. Then you can connect the cleat directly to the bottom of your foot.

Actually, foam implants on your ass would be nice for longer rides.

You could do double centuries in jean shorts! (my goal)

Hey when you've got a stupid tattoo like that, why not go the extra mile?

We used to go down every 4th to celebrate the day we met. For the last few yrs, it was sitting in limbo. I saw the new one, but it just doesn't have the charm of the old meat market.

This 4th I am racing in SLO, so no Hermosa. Racing kind of took over everything. Although I did do the Iron Man on the 4th one yr. I am sure you are familiar with it. Paddle a mile on a surf board, run a mile on the beach then drink a 6 pack! Good times.
