It does not seem to rain the Northwest anymore so changing a flat is pretty easy

..because the direct sunlight heats your tires, thus increasing the pressure and likelihood of puncturing?

I was "guarding a corner" for a century ride, my bike was in the grass and the sun for about 45 minutes and the rear tube popped.
