DT Swiss RR1450 Mon Chasseral -or- Easton EA90 SLX?
Thinking of one of these light climbing wheelsets.... opinions? Which would you pick? I am a heavier rider (185lbs. muscular) ... I live in the mountains and climb alot.

I have only ridden the Mon Chasseral, but I absolutely loved the feel of those wheels. I outweigh you by a lot and they still felt fantastic. I was able to climb, well as good as I can climb, and descend like I was on rails.

It's not even close, DT Swiss for the win! The hubs are so much better than the Eastons it not even fair.

I'm 180-185 and own both. Actually, the Eastons are an SLX in front and an SL in back, since I was right on the weight borderline for the two.
The DT I have is the RR1450, which I believe is just the non-white version of the MonChasseral.
I like both wheels just fine. The Eastons are slightly heavier on the scales but I wouldn't say it's the least bit perceptible. If either or both wheelsets flex I haven't noticed it in either sprints or climbs. I ride a Ti Merlin Extralight, if that makes any difference.
I rode the Eastons for a year and a half, then replaced with the DTs because the hubs are unquestionably better. In fact, I had the Eastons in twice during that year to have hubs rebuilt. Had to take to a higher-end wheelshop then my otherwise competent LBS because of unique bearing something or others. Didn't enjoy being without the wheels for 10 days or so, but the cost was only around $50 each time. Also, I removed nearly all the Easton stickers, wadded them up and weighed them at just a tick under 50 grams!
I prefer the DTs because of the look, the aero spokes, and most of all the amazing hubs. "Coast-offs" with friends, with me using first the Eastons then the DTs consistently reveal the Swiss wheels to be much faster. Could be the spokes, could be the hubs, most likely a combination of each. The delta reliably increases with speed -- the steeper the hill the farther ahead the DTs get.
Finally, though it's of no consequence really, the DTs come in an unbelievably nice set of wheel bags and have a cool spoke wrench included.
Enjoy!

I've ridden both wheels and since I'm only 148lbs I can't speak to the flex issue, I will say again that there is just no comparison in the hub area.
