Identify this part????
I recently bought my first road bike and have been getting very into biking. I bought myself a used trek 330 in very good condition and have been tearing up the road here in Ohio quite a bit with my friend. There is an attachment on my bike that clips onto the frame and has a little metal piece that folds down and you roll the wheel onto it to keep the front wheel from moving. It is awesome because it makes it very easy for me to lean my bike against things without a rack and without laying it down. Does anyone know what I am talking about/know what this part is called or where my friend can find one?? Let me know. Thanks.

I believe what you're describing is called a "Flick-stand". I used to have one of those on my bikes a long time ago. Yes, it's a very handy device. I don't know if it's sold anymore - at least I haven't seen it in quite a while.

Sprocket Man is right. I've seen them on eBay before. I have one on my old Soma Sport (touring bike) from 1980...a Flick Stand by Rhode Gear. Neat little deal. A shame they can't be used today...but now new road bikes have odd shaped tubes so they don't fit, even if you could buy one. I complained about something not replacing this a few years ago before I got my new bike. I'd still love to have something as secure, light and small...but what can you do. There are few simple solutions, just none as elegant. Got mine back then in Ohio, too. Good luck finding one.
