Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

our local "big" town of Villefranche de Rouergue

the tiniest 700c frame you'll ever see.

I'm surprised that a waterbottle can fit on your wife's seat tube. that frame is tiny.

I'm stunned at the lack of litter alongside the roads in the first set of photos.

The fact that this amazes me is depressing.

Beautiful stuff. I'm jealous.

Got back from La Rochelle, Saintes, and Pons about three weeks ago, spent one day in Poitiers. I miss it dearly. Thank you Bruce for posting your Year in France series! I can't wait to see your Tour photos.

-----------------------------<<<Quick Question>>>----------------------------------------
Anyone know where I can get a job in the Poitou-Charentes region???
