Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think this is a really good idea. If they sell if for under $50, I'd buy one.

Apparently they also give you the right to turn left on red.

That is one of the most useful ideas I have seen in a long while. If it does nothing else it will surely get a driver's attention and that is a good thing. Whether they abide by it or not remains to be seen. Having said that, I would buy one if the price isn't prohibitive like most cycling gear...say under $50 or $60.

Cheers,

Brian J

Okay, looks like I'm the first in here with a contrary opinion. Well, here 'goes: it's idiotic. That's what I think.

don't know that I'd say that it's idiotic, but the demo video demonstrates that it doesn't really help much. You see the green line about the same time as you hear the thump.

I bet it will cost more than a Dinotte, which would make it idiotic

Wasn't that an intersection of two one-way streets? That's legal in some areas, in a car at least.

I can't tell for sure either way after looking at it again.

I think it's a bit pointless. A car's headlights will make that little green light practically invisible. And I'd rather have a plain red strobe/always on light on my seatpost than that little thing.

I'd prefer if it drew something else to either side of me.. like punji sticks or broken bottles or giant c*cks.

Unless this green stripe denotes a force field that keeps cars at bay and sends dogs running, I'll pass.
