2010 Specialized Allez Sport
Here is my new 2010 Specialized Allez Sport. It is kind of an upgrade of the base Allez of '09, but with a few changes, and therefore it has the more expensive sounding name of "sport."
It is my first proper road bike, and so far, it scares the crap out of me. This will pass, I'm sure. I have been riding a MTB with slicks on 25-35 mile rides 3-4 times a week for the last 2 mos or so, and I am happy to step it up a bit. I am in Northern California (Central Valley), so I have TONS of options for some great rides. I can't wait to get a bit more comfy on this bike so I can tag along some group rides before the end of my summer vacation.

Nice bike Momo. I also live in the Central valley. Modesto/Riverbank area. I ride East of Claus toward Roberts Ferry-Knights Ferry area. I have the flat black with 2 white bottles. See you out there. Welcome to the board.

I have an 04 Allez Sport and an 06 Tarmac Expert...love the Allez, it was my first road bike (of my own). I really lucked out because it was 1 of 2 bikes I looked at :-). Lot's of good times. I was going to sell it but couldn't...now it's my commuter/beer bike.
I agree though, this '10 Allez has some very similar lines to my Tarmac.

Actually the Allez Sport is not new for 2009, it was available in '09 as a setup up from the standard Allez, and is exactly the same as the Allez Elite, but without the Carbon seatstays. My wife has an 09 Allez Sport, nice bike....good choice.

nice!
I have a 09 allez sport.
Looks like they put a black crankset instead of the silver one on the 09. And changed the blue to red trim.

Spec. played the name game for '10. The Sport is the now the Elite. The Elite is now the Comp. Good thing there are communities like this one for guys like me. I don't know what the 09 name I rode in the store was, but it looked just like yours and felt great. Congrats on your new bike!!!!

What is the difference in the Allez Double, Allez Triple, and Allez compact? I am new to Road Bikes and am considering buying a 2010 Allez.

Of course the elite is better. It cost more money and has better components. I'm sure someone's expensive house is nicer than mine too.
Anyways, the sport is the 2010 version of the regular comp/double/triple. Mine is the comp.
600 miles later and I am loving it still!
