Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Loose saddle angle adjustment

Alright...this damn bolt will not stay in place.

I've snapped the bolt twice now after it's come loose in the middle of rides.

Tried lock washers, stop nuts, teflon tape, and loctite. A combination of these held pretty solid for about two weeks, but it just got loose again yesterday while riding.

Any ideas short of a new/better seat post?

It would help if you told us what kind of seatpost you have currently.

A bit of a PITA to set up, but it's infinitely adjustable, tough, and STAYS WHERE YOU PUT IT.

Yeah. That's kind of an unusual saddle clamp bolt.

take it all apart, chances are, the teeth holding the angle are completely squished and no good.

+1 ^^ If the teeth serration is all worn down, then no amount of torque is going to keep it from loosening.
