Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Where to find jerseys that don't have saggy pockets

Almost all of my jerseys' pockets are huge, and everything I carry flops around the whole time I'm riding. I have one jersey that's perfect, and I need more. Maybe it's because I usually only wear plain jerseys? I will not wear a team kit unless it's a team that I ride for (like my collegiate jersey which has tiny pockets). Where can I find more jerseys that don't suck?

I feel your pain. Sometimes even buying a size smaller doesn't cut it. I'm still looking myself, although I've found that giordana's jersey's aren't too bad.

I might have to check out Giordana. My team jersey is made by Canari, and I think it's their euro-fit cut. So far I haven't found any Canari euro-fit jerseys without having to do a custom order.

Buy a race fit instead of club fit jersey.

My hincapie stuff is tight. The pockets are super tight.

I wear a large in most other brands and hincapie is snug on me. But they fit well, they are tailored to really hug you tightly.

I just bought a Rapha Country jersey (in orange of course ) which has some nifty features like a inner pocket within the middle pocket that you can use to store a mini pump or Quick Stik and a small zippered, water-resistant pocket for valuables.

The fit is snug but not too tight for me and the quality is top notch.

considering that every rapha jersey i've seen tended to sag down the owners butt, i half assumed the OP was referring to rapha.

But that has nothing to do with the contents of the jersey pocket and is more of a stylistic statement.

Seems to me, more often the question is where to find non skin tight jerseys; since its rare to find jerseys that are not race cut.

at the beginning of the year i bought a medium specialized jersey in anticipation of being not fat. my current jerseys are xl. Mid way through the year, i still look like a bursting sausage in the new jersey but the pockets are nice and tight.

We had a race-cut jersey done for the team where I used to work. It's made by Owayo Custom Cycling and the pockets are just right for me. Might be worth checking out: https://www.owayo.co.uk/cycling.htm

Nope. Mostly generic brand jerseys, which is part of the problem, but I don't want to spend any more money unless I know exactly how something is going to fit. Over the past few years I haven't had good luck finding ones I like.

Obviously I need race fit, but it seems most everything is club fit. So maybe to rephrase my question, where can I find something fairly generic looking in a race fit?

Like others have said, Hincapie.

I have a PI one that is loose in the pockets and is annoying. I have a Hincapie that is the same size and fits perfect. I also have a Nike one that fits pretty well too.

That sag is caused because the owner was not using the drawstrings on the waist of the jersey. The pockets on my Rapha jerseys keep content tighter than any other jersey I've owned.
