Will oval 7mm x 9mm saddle rails work on specialized seatpost?
The seatpost is a specialized pave pro carbon. I'm looking at replacing my saddle with a Fizik Antares with oval carbon rails. Will this work or do I need a different post? I called Specialized and they couldn't answer the question, so I'm looking for first hand knowledge.
Thanks

No it will not, you have to get a clamp design that has vertical clearance. I have a 3T post that works well. I've also used a Ritchey and a Thomson should be fine as well.

Specialized doesn't sell replacement clamps for oval rails? Ritchey makes two different clamps for carbon rails for their One-Bolt seatposts

not as far as I know but I never really looked. When it was clear that the post that came with my tarmac wasn't going to work, I just slapped my ritchey post in and moved on.
