Homemade HRM mount
(My BF search didn't help much)
Just got a Polar F11 that I thought included the fancy, dazzling handlebar mount. Unfortunately, not. Rather than order their $10 mount, has anyone fashioned their own? Looking for some good ideas.
(Lame post disclaimer: it's Friday at the office, it's quiet, nothing going on and it's too early to open my "Lou Grant" desk drawer and crack the CC).

It works quite well. Just shove it over the bar and put the wrist watch on it like it's your wrist, only tighter.

Cut up an old tube and wrap it around your bars a few times.

Here ya go...
1.) Put the strap through the retainer band
2.) push the retainer band as close to the watch base as possible
3.) Wrap the strap as you would around your wrist.
The retainer band will shorten the overall diameter
4.) pull the strap through the buckle and lock
5.) push the remaining strap through the retainer band...voila
I did this for a LONG time and it worked like a charm even on 26 bars.

Ahh. Makes perfect sense. It won't work for me since my retainer band cracked and fell off... the watch is 15 years old.
