    Cervelo Pictures

Cervelo owners, post some pics of your ride. There seem to be quite a few around here (both loved and hated), and thought it would be nice to have a collection of pictures. Post away.

Already ordered new bottle cages and a pack of white tape for when that starts to get warn out - didn't really think those two items through all the way.

If only I had won the OLN.ca Cervelo give-a-way. There would have been pics for everyone.

Looking good! The red and white is my favorite Cervelo scheme - I wish they offered it on more bikes. The S3's black and grey is rather plain and boring looking.

Yeah, I'm kinda glad I got the '08 model while it was still around--the '09 black-and-silver paint scheme isn't a favorite. Maybe it would've grown on me... all a moot point now. I love that freakin' bike. Now all I need is a disc in back so it can make that swarm-of-angry-hornets noise when I pass people.

Didnt you have Zipps before? What kind of Edge wheels are those and how do you like them? I'm on the verge of pulling the trigger on 1.45's.

I did, and still do, have Zipp 404's. The ones in the picture are a custom build set of Edge 1.25's. Took them out for their first ride today, about 20 miles of very hilly terrane. On the downhill they felt a little slower then my 404's, but on the uphill, I could really feel a difference that was more then just placebo (3lbs difference between 404's and 1.25's). They feel a lot more twitchy then my 404's - not in an unstable way, but just they go where you want them when you want them, where as the 404's felt a little more like you had to plan to put them someplace (if that makes any sense).

Impressive... Since 404s weigh less than 3lb, your Edge wheels are antimatter.

I don't think there's a 3lb difference between my mtb and my road wheels. HAHA.

DrPete, I have the clincher versions. Without tires, they are around 1700g for the wheels alone (sans tire), where as the 1.25's are 1300g with tires, air, skewers, spokes, etc. I also had heavier skewers and much heavier tires on the 404's then I do on the 1.25. I'm happy to post a detailed breakdown for you.

ETA: Because I know no one will believe me regardless,

    Edge 1.25
Front wheel (including tire, rim, spokes, and hub): 534g
Rear wheel (including tire, rim, spokes, hub, and cassette): 832g
    Skewers (F/R): 42g/46g
    Wheelset total: 1454g

    Zipp 404
Front wheel (including tire, rim, spokes, and hub): 1061g
Rear wheel (including tire, rim, spokes, hub, and cassette): 1428g
    Skewers (F/R): 54g/60g
    Wheelset total: 2603g

    Difference = 1149g = 2.53lbs

3lb = 1362g. You must be riding some heavy freakin' tires on those Zipps to get them to 2662g.

Pro3 Race with just your run of the mill tube? Don't really know how that comes in weight wise.
