What gear combination do you spend the most time in?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What gear combination do you spend the most time in?

I'm just curious about in what gearing range most of you guys tend to hang out. My setup is a little... different (see user title), so I spend ALL of my time in 48x16, or 78.8 gear inches.

Whatever gear yields me whatever cadence I want on the terrain I am riding.
My fixed gear runs a 42X15 and that is fine for me.

No, but I'm asking this question over here because I wanted to pose it to this particular subset of the cycling population.

Probably something like 50-17 or 50-19. I've got variable terrain so gears are nice on long rides. Since I also ride SS/FG, I don't tend to shift as much as others around me in a group ride.

My fixed gear bikes run 42-15 and 48-16. SS is 44-16.

I live in Colorado so an average ride might be 3 hours....2 hours of steady climbing and an hour of downhill...so 34/27, 34/24, 34/21 and 50/12.

I would say that I am most commonly in a 50-19 in the front, and 34-21 for solo 2+ hour riding.

Subtract a couple teeth from the rear for booth too get gearing for any races, group rides or solo intervals that I do.

I also ride 42/15 with my fixed gear. The other threading has a 17t locking for easier rides.

44 & 16 at 90 to 100 rpm cadence. I normally ride solo 3 to 6 hours.

75 gear inches, 85-95 rpm, flatish MUPs , otherwise, whatever gives me 90- 95rpm with not a lot of load on the knees
