I'm having trouble finding a 'consensus' on what they're called.
I can't find them on Pro Bike Kit.
Do they sell them?

PBK does not sell small spare parts like these.
you'll have better luck with the LBS.
they're just called 'name plates' according to tech docs. https://techdocs.shimano.com/media/te...9830609263.pdf
part number is different depending on what you have.

I seem to remember someone selling aftermarket carbon ones. Any idea where to get those? Mine are a bit scratched and I am thinking I might as well upgrade. For that matter, anyone know where to get them besides LBS?

Any LBS should be able to get them for you. Or the better mail order places, like Jensen. Obviously, mail order prices maybe be significantly higher than your LBS because of shipping.

^ yes, for small parts like this, the LBS is the way to go.

Pretty damn pricey for what they are.

Yeah, and I've replaced mine twice. The first time was just after installing my full 105 component upgrade; the bike fell over and nicked 'em up. It wasn't that bad, but since everything was brand new, I just had to get shiny new replacements.
The 2nd time was pure stupidity, as I started pulling my car into the garage, forgetting about the bike on the roof rack. Turns out the hoods were about 1/8" short of clearing the garage door frame and crunched into it. That actually did more damage to the wood framing than to the bike, but again I figured I should pay up for my own dumb move.

If they're not damaged too bad, you can take them off, lay them on a flat surface and use some small tools to pound them back into a somewhat normal shape.
