Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just found a mint NOS NWT 1993 Bianchi Campione. Need info on it.....bad!

Hello everyone. I was out today thrifting around, and I ran across a guy selling a brand new 1993 Bianchi Campione. It still has the tags hanging on it. It is purple in color, with black speckles going through it. It is in near mint condition, with only a few scuffs from sitting around, and some slight yellowing to the handle bar grip due to age. Other than that it is perfect. The serial number is: H2N12795. It is 55CM, and shows a price of $729 on the tag. Any ideas of how rare this bike is, and what it might be worth in unrode new condition? Any quick help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Travis

My wife has one. 1996 I think. Campione 'd Italia is what hers is marked. It's a lower end bike, came with 8sp Campy Mirage for a groupset. Maybe $400. It's certainly not a rarity. Not a bad bike though.

I just bought a '97 for $100 that needed a good cleaning, regreasing, and some paint touch-up. Figure I can flip it for $300-$350 afterwards. A new one would go for more, but it's not a collectible model.
