Help comparing Trek 1500WSD & Bianchi Giro

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Help comparing Trek 1500WSD & Bianchi Giro

Hello,

Here's my dilema. Size has limited my choices (I'm 5'). These are the 2 bikes available in my size from LBS. I am now trying to determine the best bike for the money. I wanted a step above an entry level bike and one that I can possibly upgrade as I become more experienced. This will be my first road bike and am trying to make the right choice. I have ridden both and couldn't really determine a difference probably because of my lack of riding any road bikes. So which one has the better components or I do I compare the 2? Thanks.

what it really comes down to is how much you want to spend. both bikes are almost exactly the same.

I just purchased a 2003 Bianchi Giro and I love it so far. It is my first decent road bike and I bought it because it rides well and was well priced as it is last year's model. So far so good.

I love my Bianchi Vigorelli. I like the fact that I dont see as many Bianchis around.
