Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Madone with ZIPP

Can anyone please post pictures of Madone 5.2 white with ZIPP 404 wheels?

I am thinking about to get set of used ones and wonder how they look like together. Also, correct me if I am wrong ZIPP 404 is good for a regular everyday usage since it's got aluminum rim for breaking?

TIA

I'm not sure why you would use $2k+MSRP wheelset for 'everyday riding'. Used or not.

holy **** dude, If I had that bike I would NOT curb it, even for a quick picture. One stray gust of wind and I'm a'cryin on the ground.

Unless, of course, it had a kickstand.

Wow tollhouse, is that your bike? I didn't think the ridiculous ZIPP decals could look good with anything, until now. Hot.

I would recommend not breaking them, regardless of the type of braking surface.

Because they are lighter and I can go faster on them?

My bike is 3k + and I ride it every day.

Am I missing something? (except some $$$ in my wallet )

Why not? Get your money's worth out of them? They're tough and they'll hold up. Ride the hell out of them.
