Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lighter Weight Bib tights?

I'm looking for tights that will suit me for the low 50s, so obviously I don't really want the warmest tights on earth.

I'd just like full coverage (without leg warmers) without over cooking if it creeps up in temp.

Anyone have any rec. on lighter weight bib tights?

Most people use knickers or knee warmers in that temperature range. I only use bib tights when the temperature is near 40F.

Yea, I know..

It's more about having full coverage against wind/sun rather than needing to be warm.

Nike makes summer weight tights that are very thin, but not sheer. Then the normal weight Specialized. Then, probably Craft winter weights. Then Assos winter weight. Then the Gore winter tights.

After that you start wearing two pairs. Then you stop riding outside, because if you have a flat you'll probably die.

Skins bib longs don't seem to be any thicker than their bib shorts if you can stand the yellow seams...
