Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Litespeed Archon C Series Carbon

Who else is excited about these?! I will be getting one in the next few months, maybe as a late Christmas present to myself.

It sure looks like a sweet ride. If I were in the market for a new bike, I'd consider one.

Just do a google search on Litespeed warranty. You may not like what you find.

I dislike the goofy Cervélo cable routing, have read many horror stories of Litespeed warranty claims since being sold by the Lynskey's. I'm sure it's a fine bike though.

bike hasn't arrived but couldn't pass it up. if the fit isn't right unfortunately I'll be sending it back, concerned it might be a little short in the reach dept.

all I could find was a guy in the UK who had a visit from the police bc he cracked a Merlin frame and evidently trashed ABG on a forum somewhere, and ABG didn't honoor the warranty to his satisfaction. They were going to set him up with a new LS C1. And they even had pics of the rear der hangar that was bent inwards. Perhaps his neighbor borrowed the bike, crashed it, then bent it back into shape, or he could be lying.

I can say from personal experience handling warranty claims that there are a lot of people out there who think any company who sells anything at a store is raking it in, and they should hand out free replacements when you abuse their product, like slamming the door on your graphite fishing rod, and then saying it broke on a fish when clearly the rod was crushed.

Good news is that I found nothing about the new LS C series frames. Not surprising as they are only a few years old, but that also tells me they have a good QC program and aren't accidentally selling defects.

Did you find anything directly related to the new LS carbon C series frames?
