What cranksets are compatible?
I'm currently crunching the options for upgrading my crankset. The problem is I have a triple with an 8 speed rear. It seems most all triple cranksets I've found so far are 9-10 speed compatible only. Does anyone know of any options for an 8 speed rear?

I'm pretty sure 9/10 speed crankset is just a marketing gimmick (like a Campy 11-speed jersey), but someone more knowledgeable might chime in.

Perhaps an 8spd chain is different and that's why it's not compatible? Frustrating cause there's a lot of options out there cheap (seems like triples are always on sale) and the only other thing I can do is upgrade the entire groupset. While this is tempting, it's substantially more...
