    Douglas Titanium bike

I've never had a titanium bike but wouldn't mind test riding one. This Douglas road bike came up on CL:

"23" Titanium Frame, 22.5" Head tube. All Carbon: handle bars, crank shaft, seat, and seat post. All Ultregra components. Velomax circuit rims and sprokets."

My roubaix is a 56 so this might be just a bit big.

I called and talked to a woman who said it was her husbands and ultimately made an appointment to go look at it tomorrow after work. The ad said BO and I tried to ask her for a general price or if she has had any decent offers and she kinda avoided it.
Can anyone help me with approx. price range on it?? Of course, i'll only make an offer if it fits and isn't stolen.

Unknown year, measurements that don't make sense, plus a seat post jammed all the way down- I'd think it's probably stolen, but if it feels okay to you, I'd offer $1500 and see if she takes it. That'd be quite a steal....my Ultregra Seven cost $3500 and it's pretty similar.

Her asking price is $999.00........I'd offer her 500 and pay no more than 600.00!

These frames were reportedly made for CC by Litespeed. Nothing fancy about the frames, apparently straight gauge Ti tubing was used. No butting, aero shaped GET on the tubes.
I really don't think you can compare this bike to a Seven.
Look on Ebay or CL, you can find Litespeed Classics in that price range.

They ARE made by LiteSpeed. Regarding the price... good for you if you get it for six. I'd sit on it for less a thousand if I were the seller. Col. Cycl. WAS blowin'em out at a hefty discount two years ago though.

Well guys, heres an update. I saw the bike on wednesday and its pretty rough. Needs new cables since they are red with rust and also alot of the screws are rusty as well. The carbon fork has some good digs and also the carbon crank looks pretty beat up. The frame is 1 size big but a shorter stem and/or different bars will fix that (i hope?)
Basically, I'm basing the offer on the frame, front/rear derailer, bars, wheels might be ok..
I'll take a closer look today when I see it again. Wish me luck!
On a side note though, this thing is about as light, if not lighter than my roubaix.
