Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They seem to be under the misguided opinion that other road users actually see cyclists, let alone read slogans on their apparel.

Safest jersey is one that plays up nationalism.

I have often thought this as well. Still have yet to see anyone wearing a "Don't tread on me" jersey, but it's only a matter of time.

If you like them on facebook, they often have coupons. The jerseys are well made and fit well, some aren't bad looking but many are just not my cup o tea. I bought the one that has a thumbs up fist https://www.sharethedamnroad.com/cycl...cycling-jersey and find it to be a comfortable jersey. I like it. The bike smile face is another one I like. Not badly priced if you can get a coupon code for them.

I live in Texas. I think there is one. But there's "Remember the Fallen". And various American flag ones. Trick is to create an intuitive "us" connection instead of "another damn cyclist".

Exactly! Who wants a driver squinting to read some cute slogan on your jersey while the unconscious inch closer to get a better look. It is normal to go toward what you are looking at.
