Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Will these bib-tights fit ok?

So I figured you guys in here know most about bib-tights. I am about a 30" waist, but I have found the perfect tights for me to use but they only come in a 26-28" waist. Now would I be able to squeeze into these - I am overall fairly skinny - without too much issue or is it asking for trouble?

Thanks

Daven

what brand are they? Remember, American jean's 30's are not really 30 inches. They inflate egos by deflating what the true size is. I'm a 28 at american eagle, but I've tried to fit into some 28 waist euro tights only too feel like a susage.

Well I can't as they are online! I guess I will just get them - they are cheap - if they don't fit they can go back.

If your buying from probikekit's prorace stuff, being about the same waist as you, I went with their size "5". 4 was just too small.

they should stretch.

I have a 31 inch waist and wear size small compression tights.

The prorace ones don't stretch too much since they are windtex. Windtex doesn't stretch.

For my cheap bibs that I love, Nashbar was selling Adidas full length bib tights for 40 bucks (half off of all adiads stuff at the time) They are great quality. Soft shell material from waist to mid calves, good quality spandex everwhere else, roubaix fleece on the inside, zippers on the ankles, and a good amount of reflective material in the rear. (throw as many logos as possible on the rear if they are refelective, since most of my riding in the winter is after sunset) For theirs, medium fits me perfect. Their sizing chart actually puts me at small, however, if you have some good size calves, they won't fit very well.
