Anyone use the Sweat Gutr?
Looks interesting, pretty hot where i live and i sweat like a b@$tard, 1/2 into my ride i get some on my glasses and it bugs me for the rest of my ride, looks like a good alternative to a sweat band.
anyone used one?

Nope, but the Halo headband works great for me. Both the tie as well as the elastic one. No sweat issues at all, and they have lasted a long time too.

I've used them.
They work very well for running, but only so-so for cycling. The design works best if you head is upright based on my experience. If your head is down (while cycling), the 'gutter' doesn't really drain properly. It works well enough that I still use it on hot days.

I use the Halo. I also use a cycling cap (instead, not in conjunction with). In really hot weather I give in and spray water on my face and rinse stuff off.
I'm thinking of getting the warmer Halo for cool weather races.

I have a halo headband that I like a lot. Before I got it, I only got sweat in my eyes riding a couple times, but it was enough of a nuisance to make the <$10 investment worth it. I haven't had any issues since, including during a century last August.

Another vote here for the Halo head band. I ride in Florida and sweat heavily. I also use the Halo band when playing racquetball to keep the sweat off my safety goggles.

I use it. It's great. In S. Fla there is a ton of humidity. On weekends I ride 50 miles doing laps. Without the gut'r I had to stop like every lap to wipe my forehead and wash out my eyes cause of all the sweat. With the Gut'r I can just keep going and going and not have to worry about the sweat getting into my eyes. Just drains away right out the sides.

Been using Halos for the last 5 years, same ones (they hold up well).
Personally I don't like the full elastic, I find it too constricting on my head.
The tie one you can tighten just enough so there's no pressure and position the knot at the back to suit your helmet.
I've used them with pony-tail and short hair, no problems....my GF uses them all the time as well with her long hair in pony-tail or plait without worries.

+1 for the halo, I don't know about the Halo 2 but they are fairly inexpensive on Ebay so you could try one of each.

there was a race a few years ago, a hilly road race in july. a guy who would win the occaisional industrial park crit but would always get popped in road races showed up with one of those sweat gutter things. there were people visibly laughing in race staging. i'm laughing thinking about it now.

I have a Gut'r.
I've found that for rides with light to moderate sweating, it's not particularly better than a headband I have at keeping some sweat from seeping through. But it may be better for rides with heavy sweating, when the headband would get overwhelmed.

I tried one but it didn't work well for me. I use Headsweats and they work much better. I suspect that the exact shape of your brow ridge has a big effect on whether the Gutr works for you.

I have one, I only ever use it on the rollers but it does work. You also get a cool 'pour it on' effect if you've had you head pretty level and then tilt it to one side. Yeah, pretty gross.
