Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bringing home new bike. Currently has Mavic Ksyriums Elites. Trusted LBS will upgrade me to Rolf Prima Elans for small cost with trade in on the Mavics. Should I a) trade in mavics and upgrade to the Elans as my only wheelset for day to day and racing, or b) keep Mavics for day to day riding and put money saved towards purchase of a more specific "race day" set to use when racing? In other words, better to spend more and have 2 sets specific to needs, or can I save money in hopes the Elans will serve all purposes well enough?

I'd just keep the Ksyriums and ride those but that's me...
