my nice bike is at home
Here is my racemachine RM01. ( Photo is from a few months ago. I have since raised my stem 3mm....; )
It it has been really great "Machine" for me, so great that I have recently secured a 'new' / used teammachine which I will be keeping in Europe for a few years as a 'visit-bike'. Just the frame, I will transport the grouppo and re-buld it each time, leaving more parts there as I can afford to do so. Major PITA but worth it. I work there 2x per year and I will save on transport costs and wear and tear etc.
Anyway I am gonna sign off and go for a ride, I love this thing:
Thanks to all on this forum who helped me get this thing together. Have over 2000km so far this year. The grouppo is mostly older Campy Super Record 10. The wheels are 2003 Kryseriums.(!) Every single thing you see here was bought used except the chain, pedals, tires ,cables, bar tape and BB30 insert. Really thinking its time for new wheels..they must have a gajillion miles on them! but my bank account says, "otherwise"

What does one do if they are interested in a BMC but have no dealers in the area? I remember for a while CC was carrying them but they don't seem to have any now.

Seen good ones on local Craigslist in the past.
I bought two lightly used BMC frames off ebay, The first one a few years ago from CA (shipped to NY) other one from German ebay (shipped to France this week, I hope).
It is an international economy.

Never noticed this thread before. I have a 2014 BMC GF01. I call it the Magic Bike. It's the perfect bike for me it turns out.

Here is the teamachine built up in Europe with the same exact components, right down to the cables. Bottom Bracket Cups & Insert as well as seat post ( of course ) and seat, along with one w/b cage and the stem stay behind with the frame. Everything else is now back on my racemachine here in NYC. Both frames are the same size and very similar
I think the teamachine feels a bit lighter but hard to say..
^Climbed Mt. Ventoux on this, Fun times! (It has decade-old Kryseriums & different brand of tires front and rear and I have no idea what TCC means!)

Question the BMC TM02/01 owners: How can i get a basic idea which frame height would fit me? (180cm with inseam 80cm). Whats about the "Half" sizes? (M-S,M-L)
I would like to get one for me but with a lack of retailers here i would buy it online and get it fine tune fit afterwards.

A friend RAVES about the BMC Team Machine. he says it has some ride similarities with the Tarmac S-Works he rode but he absolutely goes nuts over his Team Machine. He has owned some seriously nice bikes so it must be pretty special.

Well, thanks to this thread, I impulsively picked up a lightly used BMC SLR01 frames. I believe it is a 2014. I was going to quietly hide it in the basement for a while but a sudden work trip has screwed up that plan since it arrives on Wed and I leave on Wed.
Anyway, I'm thinking of picking u a mechanical Ultegra 6800 groupset since DA 9000 is $700 more (I may change my mind) and am focusing on what wheels to build or buy. Suggestions are welcome. I currently have three wheel sets on three diff bikes, and am looking for something suitable for the BMC. I'd like to build it kinda light but since we have big ascents and fast descents, I can't go flimsy (I'm 175-180 lbs).
Pacenti SL23 + DT240 + CX Rays 24x28 on the Roubaix rim brake
NOX + DT240 + CX Ray 28x28 on the Crux Disc
American Classic Argent tubeless 24x24 on Tarmac Disc
Here is a pic from our favorite auction site:

Rm02
I'll put some life back into this thread. It's been a while since I've been hanging around the forum, but a new BMC triggered an itch. I actually had to create a new login as I couldn't remember the old!
Anyway, I recently picked up my new RoadMachine. It ended up being a custom job as I wanted the RM01 Ultegra Di2, but the geometry of the integrated cockpit just didn't work for me. I also didn't want the yellow RM02 Di2, so I got the Black, upgraded with Di2 and swapped out the wheels for Ksryium Pros. Below are the pre & post maiden ride photos. A very dirty ride!
