Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The initial test results are encouraging. Here is some context (Australian grape, Californian grapes may vary):

That's awesome! Coincidentally, the 8 g weight of the grape is the same as the weight difference between the carbon fiber water bottle cage that I didn't get, and the 1/4 cost plastic/nylon water bottle cage that I DID get. I will either take one less grape with me on future rides, or else scrape my own Mavic stickers off....

I need a good comeback line for when I'm riding out in the country and I stop at a Marathon gas station for a diet Coke and a Little Debbie snack cake and some redneck comes up to me and says, "Hey funny boy, are you choir?" because I'm dressed in Lycra.

I need a really good comeback line that won't get me killed.

Toes are also overrated.

Be careful removing valve stem caps. The weight imbalance that this causes in the rim can lead to oscillations in the wheel which will lead to catastrophic wheel disintegration.

I will post more on this later but I need to get back in the lab and figure out these sticky accelerator pedal.

Sigma 1606 computer are great if you consider rubber bands and double sided scotch tape to be a state of the art fitting. The unit works well but the fittings not so much.

If I wash out on a descent in the rain and there are no other cyclists to see it, will it still hurt?

I'm too moody to f with it right now. Off the bike due to bike crash injuries makes me pissy.

Not if you crash hard enough, it won't. My crash didn't hurt at all. The injuries sure do though.

^This is why I also shave my foot hair

In addition:

How do I keep up with those cute female cyclists?

Which shorts will make my ass look the best?

And if I'm a mean potato, does that make me a dictator?

Hey, if you already shave your legs just put a little lipstick, rouge and eyeliner on and see how you like that...

Since I started riding (18mos. 8kish miles) I've gained 12lbs and added some to my moobs. Don't stop lifting, that's the lesson.

If I had a personal experience with your man-boobs, I think I'd be keeping it to myself.

In the Original Star Trek series where Kirk -- or perhaps Spock, can't recall -- got the android to self destruct by telling it "everything I say is a lie," could a more concise line have been used to overcome the android and get back to the Enterprise?

Nope. The 1.2 was the exact same bike that Armstrong rode for 3 of his TdF wins (and EPO for 4 others). If it is good enough for Lancelot, it is good enough for you.

Deja vu all over again!
