Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

In his case he probably needs the drop....unless some others who have 2 feet of seatpost plus a telescope of a stem.

Very tall people tend to have very large saddle to bar drop.

This is Ryan Trebon's cyclocross bike:

He races in Oregon quite a bit during cross season and standing next to his bike, his saddle comes up almost to my chest

Trebon is 6'5"

I've seen him race and he doesn't look super low on the bike. Just a tall guy long arms, lots of drop

He's real tall and very smooth.

These are a couple clips of Trebon at my team's cross race last year running barriers. Like I said, real smooth.

I'd submit that the Ebayer does not ride the bike that way, but extended the post out past the max to display its length.
