Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nick's Hammer Nutrition Clothing Review

Do buy the Bergamo Shorts but be warned they ran a little tight, the bibs were a bit short in the shoulder straps for me and I have a short torso. When I put them on too fast I ripped the stitching slightly on the bib strap. No biggie but not something I like to do in the first 15 min of owning a pair of bibs

Don't buy the 2010 black hoodie, it's printed lazily on a cheap Hanes generic hoodie. Also it runs gnarly big by at least one size. I bought it small (I'm 5'11" 155) and I'm going to have to wash it in hot water to shrink it to fit.

Do buy the Giordana summer gloves, some of the nicest gloves I'd gotten. Very padded but not obnoxiously padded.

Still waiting on the short sleeve jersey since it's back ordered

i noticed the same thing with this years bergamo bibs that they do run a bit smaller then last years. or maybe im just fatter so who knows.

the jerseys are nice and good quality just as they were last year.

one thing im not sure if i like yet is the new bergamo's do not have the leg grippers this year!

last years Bergamo's ran smaller than the Voler line. i would say they run more typical or accurate. i have not grabbed in 2010 bibs yet.

the 2010 long sleeve winter jersey is nice. i like the white dominated color scheme. later.

Bergamo's are the same as Capoforma and Capo stuff typically fits me well. Then again I got a shop kit recently that was Capo and noticed it also fit tighter than the previous Capo kits I've owned. I gotta say I like the no leg gripper, I didn't at first but I had some kits last year that didn't have them and it grew on me.

I really like the look, feel and fit of the 2009 jersey. But the bib chamois feels like it was placed too far forward.

Just took the bibs out for a ride and I really enjoyed them. I don't know if I'd be able to take the snugness for a 5 or 6 hour ride but they feel really good when you're hammering (no pun intended).

I like the idea of no leg grippers. Being short I sometimes want to cut off the bottom inch of material anyway which means the gripper.

Did you use the official Hammer sizing chart?

I did not, I've just owned Capoforma gear since I started riding and Bergamo produces Capo so I assumed it would fit the same. After my ride this morning I have to say it fits pretty much the same.

How low do the bib shorts fall? Mid thigh or closer to the knee?
