Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Serious Question

Will a $3000 carbon bike make me $3000 faster, or $3000 lighter?

If I find a $6000 bike for $3000, will I be $3000 or $6000 better?

I feel like I need to be at least $2000 faster, but I don't think an extra grand would hurt.

A $3,000 bike will make you faster. A lot faster.

If you ride in crack town. Make sure you wear a sign announcing the value of the bike.

It depends on whether the EU decides to bail out Greece. You may want to wait for a better exchange rate depending on which outcome you think is more likely.
