Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You'd prefer the rider on the couch and the cruiser in the garage?

i've been seeing alot of people in cruisers on the trails lately... my buddies get mad, but i say as long as they are riding it really doesn't bother me... i get mad when there are people walking with dogs or go carts...

Hey, don't laugh at the guy with the Cervelo. I'm sure he has feelings too.

+1 just because he's on a Cervelo doesn't mean he has to be a poseur.

I was riding a cool down lap on the veloway on saturday and heard a clatter ahead. I rounded the corner and there was a young laday on a similar bike, but with loose fenders that made a terrible racket. As we were putting our bikes back into our cars I mentioned that rider to my riding partner who commented...."Yeah...did you notice how long it took us to catch and pass her?"!!!

Haha, that's great.

When we go to Hilton Head next month, I suspect we will do some jetting around the island, my girlfriend and me, that is. Her on her pink Schwinn beach crusier, and me on my SuperSix Hi-Mod. We will be a sight to see, as well. Maybe our bikes will wind up on here in similar fashion!

I'd really like a cruiser. You hardly see any where I live and it could be nice for social stuff.

Are those pretzels? One of my favorite midride snacks.

Was she hot? That's the real question.

I would have joked about why someone on a Cervelo would be at such an establishment. BTW, my ride gets far more attention from the women than your Cervelo....
