Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

BMC Streetfire 2008

What would you pay for a 08 Streetfire with all 105 and fulcrum racing 7 wheels. It is mint condition. I'm not selling, thinking of buying.

depends on if its stock or not.. if its stock no more than 1000 and depending on the mods would depend on the price. i had that exact bike and sold it like 9 months ago for $900. i also upgraded a few things on it. heres what mine looked like

$800-900 range guessing. could probably adjust it $100 or so either way. I'm unemployed so I would likely only pay about $250 for it.

To quote a well know Australian movie (The Castle):

"Tell him he's dreamin' !!"

US$850 (Maximum) based on what my LBS said and they sell BMC bikes.

if its really in brand new condition, $1k would be a fair price for a 105 equipped bike. is it full 105, or is there a cheaper crankset and brakeset?

I would say at least $1000 . If you really like it. I just got a Streetfire frame this past week and built it up with some choice parts and and old Dura Ace9 sp group and it rides really nice. I have a Team Machine with Record and yes it is way lighter and a nicer ride, but the Streetfire is still great. and I bet your 105 10sp is as good or better than my 2003 Dura ace.

post pics when you get it.
