Frame sizing help

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Right now, my ride is a 2003 trek 2300 size 54cm. been trying to look for specs and sizing on it but i cant find it. Im 5'7" and the trek bike fits fine. if anyone can help me out, that would be great.

It's too big. The TT is much too long and the head tube is too tall. One of the problems with a frame like that is the huge jump in TT length and head tube length between the small and medium sizes. There needs to be a size in-between those two. The small size would probably be a bit small, vertically and horizontally, but if you don't a +6 stem in a 120-130mm length, you could probably make it fit.

If you want better advice, you need to post an actual saddle height or an accurate cycling inseam to get an idea is the HT is too short. Most likely it's not, if your saddle height is in the 69-72cm range.
Very few people of your height have a 73cm saddle height (but I do).
