Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Clip-on Aero bars

I am in the market for some aero bars, but dont think they're really worth the avg. $150 price tag.

What did you pay for yours/what do you use?
For not being a triathelete, and only using them for maybe on avg. of 3 TT's/ year, is it really worth it (ie. do you just go in drops?)

What would you recommend?

I paid $25 for mine that were used, but I have since taken them off and they are sitting on a shelf. They seemed to offer a decent increase in speed, but my stem is already too long, so they weren't comfortable to use for me. Another shameless plug: See my post in the for trade thread if you are interested in trading for a pair.

I guess it really depends on if you want to be in the drops for an entire TT...
