Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

First Real Build Finally Finished

I started on a 2004 giant OCR1, not a bad bike for what it is, but as I have progressed and set certain goals it was time to upgrade. So here it is, my 2010 Scott CR1 Comp full ultegra, FSA SL-K Light Crank and 3T cockpit. Let me know what you all think.

Nice build! but there is something wrong with your camera, it didnt pick up the mandatory ( bf standard) white garage door behind the bike.

Other than that, sweet ride.

Nice, it looks like you got the cable lengths correct. I messed mine up the first time... although I think it was because I was excited to finally get it done and rushed.

Yeah my garage doors are red so I opted out of that shot.

Valve caps + front skewer at wrong angle?

Cadence/speed sensor reversed?

The stem is on correctly. Flipping it right now would raise the stem and bars. But seriously, there's nothing wrong with the pictures, and not with the bike either

New wheels are definitely next, it came with shimano r500's, and the wife had bought me the aksium's for christmas. I will probably in time use the aksium's as training wheels and use whatever I get next for serious rides/races.
