Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My new bike :)

I got a used cannondale, with shimano 105 components.
Looks like I am going to have to get it tuned a bit though. When Im on the big chain ring, I can hear/see the chain kind of rubs up against the actual shifter or w\e. (the thing that pushes the chain between the small chain wheel and big chain wheel, sorry I dont know the name)
So, once I get that taken care of I will be all set.
Overall very happy with the purchase.
Spent $400 on it. Came with a bag, a pump, and a specialized compute.
Will upload a pic I took of the bike, however here is the one from CL

Nice bike. The thing that moves the chain is called a derailleur, and are designated front derailleur (FD) or rear derailleur (RD). Shifters are the things on your downtube you move with your hand. Your FD needs to be adjusted slightly using the limiter screws and possibly adjusting cable tension. This is how to fix it. I tend to be a cable destroyer when I attempt this, so the LBS gets my money.

Ride the wheels off of it.

Nice. Have a look if there's a co op around you offering bicycle maintenance lessons. Get on to them. Else click here https://sheldonbrown.com/ or here https://www.parktool.com/repair/bikemap.asp

Ride the sprockets off it!

Ride safe.
