Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The new $600 one?

Definitely one of the more interesting bikes introduced as of late.

My LBS has one of those. I was checking it out and thinking if I added a set of SORA 8 speed shifters that I have in the spare parts box to that bike it would be a great ride. Really nice looking bike and a good deal as an entry level bike. I just wish it had brifters.

I've been thinking the same thing for a bike for my brother. That steel allez really is a cool looking bike.

Don't have the steel, but I love my Allez. Keep riding and keep updating. People love pictures on this forum. In fact, it is kind of a rule, if you don't have the pics, it didn't happen. Useless if you don't own a camera that you are handy with, but it makes for much more interesting and visibly friendly threads.

BTW: welcome to the forums.
