Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I've ordered at least 6 times from them and never had a problem. Their kit prices are very reasonable and well made stuff. Keep in mind the European sizes run VERY small and having to return an item would be difficult I imagine ( never had to return anything myself). Other than that, best site I've found.

I normally don't like to buy out of the USA. I have ordered from them a number of times. I'm in California and their service has been very quick, it takes roughly about two weeks to get here which I think is pretty damm good.

I've also ordered from them 4 or 5 times. Great prices, and I've never had any issues.

I've put about five orders in with them and they've been great every time. I'm in California and usually get my stuff a little over a week, once got my order in 5 days.

I ordered from them and I also had the courage to send something back for return. One week later, I got an email and my credit card was credited back. Impressive.

I've placed about 10 orders with PBK. Never had an issue with them. No delivery (to Iowa) has ever taken longer than a week.

Ordered the same thing you did that they shipped back on March 31. The tires didn't show. Lengthy email process and months later (mid July) I finally received some tires. Replacement set came quickly once shipped. It was a bit of a pain to get them to finally get me out a replacement for the lost order. They couldn't file a claim until 5/18 so there was no way they would even be able to send out a replacement until then. So I had to buy a set locally. Much of the further delay was on my part by letting it drop after I bought another set. But when I picked things back up again I had to backtrack with the whole story again. It was a bit frustrating.

In the end they took care of me. But it wasn't a great first experience for me. The price was certainly great. At this point I'm undecided whether I would order from them again or not. I get a pretty good team deal at the shop now and I get the tires immediately. However, I'm the forgiving sort if the price is right. So that's the undecided part . Just be forewarned. If you don't see your tires in a week or two, it will be quite a while (like about 6-7 weeks) before they will be able to take care of you. Even if you stay on it.

I have ordered a number of items from pbk and have almost always had great experiences from them. ONE time, they sent the wrong color item -- white instead of black -- but they paid for return shipping.

On my most recent order, though, my credit card company ripped me pretty hard. They charged an extra fee for the international order and then charged an exchange rate that was beyond unfavorable on the currency exchange. I used the card for over 20 years and never had a problem like this before. (I don't use them anymore.) That's not pbk's fault, though.

pbk has taught me about buying extra when desired stock is available and prices are low. They're great for almost all consumables- tires, tubes, cable sets, chains, brake pads, etc. It's a reasonable investment since I'm going to end up using all those things anyway, and the time saved when I need something is invaluable...

Credit card problems seem to now be under control and no longer an issue.

Yup. I had my card compromised last year the day after a PBK order, but I finally got the courage up to buy from them again. Although PBK have lost their shine somewhat as far as prices go - Chain Reaction are often cheaper. But, like someone said, buy from PBK to stock up when they have the great special deals.

I placed my first order with pbk two days ago. I tried to contact them via "enquiry" system 5 times now and they will not respond. Their system says I have placed no orders and I'm getting nervous about this as I haven't received the order. After reading all the posts, this company sounds like they are fly by nighters. I hope I'm wrong.

How can you possibly get that from the above responses?

Something stinks...

I've had only one issue with PBK (this summer) when I ordered pedals which never did arrive. They eventually refunded the money (took some effort)

But I've had about 5-6 other orders from them with no issues at all.

Timely thread. I just placed an order but my payment still says pending and I'm trying to figure out why. The time difference is a pain for contacting customer support. We'll see if they answer my email tonight. Good prices though, placed a sick order.
