Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Need help with helmet decision...

So I'm trying to decide on a new triathlon/TT helmet. Which would you pick and why?

Giro The Advantage 2?

Louis Garneau Superleggera?

Louis Garneau Rocket Air?

Other?

Hard to decide. Different helmets works for different people. One helmet may be faster for you but slower on someone else.

The trend seems to be going towards a shorter tail. This being because even the best pros can't keep their head up all the time and the shorter tail section will compensate for this when the head is in the downward position (with the tail of the helmet up in the air). I would wait it out till Sept when Interbike shows the new stuff. There are deals though. I just sold my brand new never used Advantage 2 for a 100.00. I heard through the grapevine the new Giro aero helmet similar to Lance and Contadors Tour helmet will be available early next yr.

I really like the Rudy Project Wingspan myself. https://www.e-rudy.com/index_inner_de..._id=HL506961US It utilizes the new shorter tail design and has a full cover under the tail as well for improved aero dynamics.
