Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My new Scott Addict R2! Finally upgraded my bike!

So I've been riding a 2005 Trek 1500 for 3.5 years racing in the Cat 5s (I'm from WNY, we have little to non USCF races up here and traveling was hard for me to fit in) and this year is the year I start riding on a real road bike.

Holy crap I love this bike, what a ride. Smooth, stiff, and I like that the race geometry isn't too relaxed like a lot of frame shapes are leaning towards these days. Soooo much better than aluminum! Looking forward to getting this beast into a race.

Yeah ISM Adamo Road saddle. I have tried every Fizik, Specialized, San Marco seat I could find. The Adamo is the only saddle that'll keep blood going to my feet during hard efforts on the bike. They actually make a slightly stiffer and thinner version for TTs but I hate TTing so instead of spending the money on it I just move this seat over to my Quintana Roo.

I'll post pics of the saddle and the junction in a minute

Ok, it's simply the lettering.. I thought it looked like some cool scroll work in the first pic. Still really nice though.

How did you get those two saddles to stick together like that?

Not to be mean, but isn't talk of 'race geometry' a bit moot when you're running an inch of spacers? Anyway, nice bike - you should start lots of threads about it, maybe call one of them something catchy like 'Addiction' or something.

Have you tried the Selle SMP saddle? I'm debating between the SMP Pro and the Adama saddle for my next purchase.
