My new Allez :D
I finally picked up my 2011 Allez Comp today. It is so amazing. The SRAM shifting is so much fun, and is very crisp. I took it for a little ride, and now am home trying to recover and get some energy in me because tonight I'm going to try to do 30 miles. (Never done it before, but haven't tried either)
I have a few questions. Do I have to hold the shifter in for a while to get it to switch to the big ring on the front? If I just click it, it won't go on. There are also some little weird grinding sounds in one gear, but I think its gone now. Hopefully the bike is just getting warmed up or whatever.
So I can finally ride now
Pics wont be until I get clipless pedals haha I am too ashamed to show the ones I have now. I need more money for the pedals and shoes. Expensive stuff. It is an absolutely beautiful bike though. LOVE IT.
EDIT: Heres pics form my DROID. Don't complain about the pedals unless you can send me money

Congratulations on the new bike. Can't wait to see some pics. You know, you could take some pics with no pedals.

It is a BF felony to report such good news without pictures. Until said pictures are posted, this did not happen. Ride your bike to the nearest white garage door and comply. Resistance is futile.

WOW. I just did 32.5 miles. I did sooo many hills I thought I was gonna die. The weird part is I never got winded, my legs just burned badly. I'm surprised at how well I did actually. I NEED SHORTS! I am numb right now. I also need a water bottle holder. I was wearing a strap backpack and had to try to fish my water bottle out of it to drink water. Then I smelled all the BBQ's. My god it was such an amazing ride. I love my bike! 30 miles for my first ride is good for me personally.
Much respect to all of you guys who do like 50+ miles. Damn, I appreciate that feat a lot. Century? haha damn.
I feel weird right now. Feel different. I am sooo hungry, that I'm cookin up a pizza and already ate 4 cups of yogurt. I feel amazing and fuzzy at the same time. haha
Yeah, that was so awesome.
So do you guys wipe the dirt off your frame after? Also give me tips on what to do post-ride for the bike please.
Thanks.

Very cool to see the new Allez w/Apex. I saw the black/red version at the LBS today, but I have to say the white/blue looks nicer (and is worth the extra cleaning efforts)

Awesome! I think the 2011 Allez are actually one area where Specialized improved over last year, I"m not a fan of most of the Tarmac schemes, but they updated the font and whole look of the Allez. Congratz on the bike!

Were they selling just the framesets at your LBS? I am trying to build up a bike using the 2011 Allez Comp frameset and none of the LBS in my area are talking.
