Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Is Campagnolo Super Record 2011 BB30?

So I have heard different things from different sources. Will the 2011 version of Super Record have an option of BB30 cranks, or are they still just going to have the cup adapters?

No, neither Campy nor Shimano have signed on yet for BB30. If you want Campy 11 speed, then you need to buy an FSA BB30 crank because Campy has a weird bolt pattern and FSA can accept Campy chain rings.

you can also fit campagnolo rings on cannondale's bb30 cranks (with the correct spider)

I did not know that. From what I have heard, Cannondale's BB30 cranks are amoung the best.

there is almost always a spider on ebay. its not cheap by the time you buy the spider and rings, but like you said, i hear its the best:

the other option would be running standard 130bcd cranks with either FSA or stronglight 11spd rings

miche also has 110bcd 11spd rings. campagnolo makes 11spd shifters and derailleurs for miche so they may make the chainrings as well. (though my guess is they are stronglights)

not exactly. those are bb30 cups to use ultra torque cranks in a bb30 frame, but the spindle size is still the "standard" size they use in threaded bottom brackets. yes you can put them in a bb30 frame, but they are not true bb30
