Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sidi Shoes, What are these screws for?

Just a little help, what are these shoes for. I'm guessing I don't need them for speedplay cleats but just checking. Thanks

Cam

I'm guessing for cycling.

Those screws could be for the HSS.

I am betting they are replacement screws for the buckle (Genius 5s) or, for the replaceable heel pad.

So, no one knows. I asked this exact question months ago, yet all the people here who've purchased sidi shoesbhave no clue what these are for. I think that's rather funny.

They're for the Look Keo cleats. There's a snap out part from the cleat itself, and that screw holds it in place. The cleats snap onto it, which allows replacing cleats without changing cleat position.

We have a winner. That system is really nice when you are changing cleats.
