The Big Ring

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The Big Ring

Whenever I shift into the big ring, I get this steady sound of dragging on the harder half of the gears along with a sluggish feeling, and this clicking in the easier half (the same sound made when pedaling backwards). Anyone get the same thing as this?

Btw, the groupset is full Sora, except for Tiagra rear derailleur and a Truvativ Isoflow road Compact 50/34 crankset.

And if so, you need to "trim" the FD by shifting it a bit to prevent the rubbing.

Or you could just let it rub. I've seen a few FDs where the chain had just about worn through the cage !

Get your derailleurs adjusted properly, and then trim your front at the appropriate times.
