Aluminum insert inside Wilier Cento1 seat tube

Anyone tried not to use this insert on your cento? is it safe?it saves me 30gr and I make sure my stubby post is not overtight,,any thoughts?,,Thanks

I actually need to lower my seat at least 5mm,by taking off the insert it lowered down 3mm and shreaded 30g..Im also wondering if all ISP like scott addict comes with an insert as well?.

I can ask the techs at my work tomorrow what they think... but my advice would be to leave it in, it's there to support the integrated seat tube obviously from clamping force but just in general. It's a $5500 frameset, is it really worth saving 30 grams at the expense of putting unnecessary stress on the frame?
