No... that was my newest addition to my family. My second Y-foil
I don't race. I will not buy another carbon wheel until I do.

What happens when you do it to your bike?

Well, I reckon I could take a sledgehammer and go whack the ol' Worksman to pieces, too, but I can't think what that proves to anyone.

Just shock value.
You can't tell in the video but the entire non-drive side to the rim is sun damaged with carbon separation, discolored and deformed. The panel I peeled back was already part of the damage when it cracked in the sun. I'm still keeping the wheel for wall art though so its not a total loss. Plus it makes a real nifty cassette holder

wait, so what was the point of destroying it even more? I would think a wheel could be left out in the sun, seeing as it is meant to be put on a bike. Which is ridden outside. In the sun. for hours.
If it truly was just sun damage, it was definitely under warranty. My guess is you just voided that warranty and lost out on a new wheel

I guess I could run my car into it and obtain a crash damage replacement cost, but something doesn't seem very moral about abusing my own stupidity.
...and yes, as odd as I am about stuff. Consumer abuse is something I'm pretty damn against. Specifically when it comes to finding blame for ones own mistakes and trying to get others to pay for it.

The inner foam looks messed up. It was in the sun from 1:00pm to 6:30pm Last week from my drive back home from LA to San Jose. I just noticed it when I went to take the wheel off to put on a tire. If sun damage is really warranted then....I'm an idiot.... more-so.

One more thing... the carbon wall was a lot thinner than I expected. I don't think I would have bunny hopped railroad tracks all those times if I had known this....

wait, if it was sitting on your car, it could have been exhaust damage. Put your bike back on the rack and see where that wheel would have been in relation to the exhaust pipe. Because that is not supposed to happen to a wheel in the sun

Heat or exhaust seems more likely. If 5 1/2 hours in sun really messed wheels up, cyclists would be dropping like flies.

Very true... and upon further inspection...it is above my exhaust, but close enough to still warrant i'm an idiot and don't feel as if Hed should pick up the slack. Damn morals :/ I'll just pretend it was stolen so I can sleep knowing it wasn't my fault.
