Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The guy was asking $900 and he really needed the money. I "low balled" him because I'm broke, he said yes so I got my money together and got it before anyone else could offer him more. He had the original receipt for it so it wasn't stolen. It does have a few paint scrapes but other than that road perfect.

Dude, those are nice training wheels! I almost bought those Mavics but went with DT-Swss Tricons. But the Mavics are bad-ass wheels! Very stealth looking. I really like your rig, it looks sweet! What weight does it come in at? Just wondering.

Thanks man!

6.7kg with the SLRs and 6.4kg with the Ultimates. I could easily lose more weight with a RED cassette, aftermarket skewers, LTD stem, and lighter cages, but it's already under the UCI limit so why bother? I couldn't be happier as it's an aluminum frame, very stiff yet still comfortable for those long training rides.

Even "The Shark" trains with a CAAD10: https://www.pelotonmagazine.com/Feedz...ooking-to-2012

It is entirely possible. The aforementioned upgrade parts alone would put the racing setup right under 14lbs.

Now you're tempting me!!

Agreed, not much need to go lighter other than because "you can". But the cost to bennefit starts to outway what you get. My bike is right at 7.2 kg with cages, pedals and computer. And I am ablsolutely happy with it. I have done some five hour training rides on it and, other than being tired from the effort, I feel very good at the end, and couldn't imagine a carbin bike making much differed. Especially at the price point I spent to make my bike just the way I like it.

Here's a pic of my craigslist $450 CAAD10 5, not a fan of green bar tape. Hoping to put white bar tape to match the white and red seat off my hybrid as well as my Easton EA50 wheelset. Other than the green bar tape it has a few minor scratches but it rides great.

Hey guys quick question (don't really know where else to ask): does anyone know which Hudz model fits with 105 5700? I'm putting the finishing touches to my CAAD10 w/ the collegiate racer (read: poor and lots of Ramen) in mind.

Here is the link to their site: https://www.grabthehudz.com/

What kind of riding do you plan to do?
If you are going to be doing lots of climbing go with the compact.
If you are riding on flat roads go with the double.

I would advise you to go with a compact just because you have the option to use low gears.

Just curious, 2011 or 2012? I forgot if 10 3s are offered in black both years. Spec differences? I know the spec difference between the 10 4s for both years, but not for 10 3s.
