Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I don't believe that people who actually ride bikes would ever contemplate stealing one. I know I would be devastated if mine were stolen and I would never want to see that befell on another fellow enthusiast/addict.

People who steal bikes have no souls. It's a proven fact cyclists have souls. It's true some can be a-holes, but if they saddle-up, they have a soul. Best of luck to Cannondale. Have bike thieves hitting pro teams risen recently or am I just to new to know the difference?

raatty: I bet that would have been an awesome experience! I'd be happy just to have a pro race within 6 hours.

Thanks. I'm definitely happy with this bicycle, the first nice road bike for me. I just broke down and ordered the matching RD since the old one was ticking from the crash too.

Need some color advice. It's about time to recable, retape, etc the CAAD for spring. I was thinking about going with white housing. Overkill? Better ideas? Sorry, not the best picture, just a quick shot on the trainer to see the current scheme.

Unless you get black bar tape and a black seat I would not go with the white housing. But that's just me

So.....I walked into the lbs today, and there is was, a beautiful 56cm 2013 caad10 w/105 in the black and silver color like this \/

I don't completely dislike this color but it is not my first choice. It's priced at $1494.XX (after taxes).... but I really like the new team colors. You guys think I should get over my color preference and pick this up? (For info, they have a left over supersix as well. The 2013 ss is only 20$ more than a 2014 caad10, both after taxes)

I came home to my parent's house to see them and my girlfriend so I have until tomorrow to decide because that is when I leave

I think they could have gone without the "10" on the top tube...

Get the new team colors, i know i did . In all seriousness get the bike color scheme you want, especially if the price difference is that minimal.

Agreed with Team Sarcasm. White housing and black tape/saddle or like it is now.

dsheldo,
I'd agree with the others on the cables, All white for the seat, tape and cables please.

Great to see you posting again, hopefully you can be around more now. Thanks for serving for our freedoms.

Cables should only be done in black, no exceptions. Colored cables looks contrived.
